Yak Box-Wall™: The YAK BOX-WALL ™ airflow innovative down jacket construction separates the cold exterior of a fabric from the insulating layer. This technique increases thermal efficiency. Performance is further enhanced by the use of transfer channel chambers. This allows the hot air inside the garment to move from one chamber to another rather than being released into the atmosphere like with traditional insulated manufacturing processes.



DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness.




Cordura®: A high tech fabric known for its durability, solidity, light weight and easy care. Cordura® is extremely abrasion-resistant (4 times more than standard nylon and 20 times more than cotton). The light, rough surface is typical for this fabric.


Ripstop: This synthetic fabric, often made from nylon or polyester, uses a special reinforcing technique that makes it tear and abrasion-resistant. During the weaving process, reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals into the hatched pattern. The intervals are generally 5 to 8 millimetres. Ripstop fabric is thin and lightweight with thicker threads interwoven into thinner cloth for a 3-dimensional structure.
