TECHNOLOGY:
GORE-TEX®: The Gore-Tex® membrane is a very thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) with a laminated outer fabric and is often lined. It is waterproof (28,000 mm) and windproof (RET between 6 and 13), as well as permeable to water vapour. The result is that water from the outside does not penetrate the garment, the cold wind does not get through and perspiration is easily released. |
Booster: Adidas Boost technology is produced by BASF's adidas Innovation (AIT) team and German chemists. It was created with the aim of reconciling previously opposing cushioning qualities: soft and responsive. The EVA foam is then the standard in the performance running shoe industry. But Boost will change everything, with an intermediate insole composed of thousands of expanded particles working together to provide a return of energy with each stride
ORTHOLITE®: Engineered from open cell polyurethane, Ortholite soles retain 95% of their cushioning after one year of use, whereas ordinary soles lose 70% of their cushioning over the same time period. The Ortholite sole is lightweight and breathable. The air circulates, to help evacuate heat and moisture to keep the feet dry. The environmentally-friendly biocide treatment is antimicrobial and creates a healthier environment for the feet. The benefits of Ortholite® open-pore technology:
