TECHNOLOGY:
EPS: The inner shell made from EPS (expanded polystyrene) is designed to absorb impacts. As it is close to the head, this layer needs to be as soft as possible while also ensuring maximum protection.
To optimise absorption capacities, Arai uses a multi-density structure that distributes strength in a linear way, layer by layer, just like the outer shell. The density is higher on the outside, while the interior is more flexible.
