TECHNOLOGY:

Fluorocarbon free DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness.

The waterproof treatment is derived from a hydrocarbon base made from silicone and / or wax. In order to preserve the environment, all perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) are removed from the coating.

COMPOSITION:

Climatic™: Fabric designed for durability and comfort on multi-day treks. Hard-wearing durable stretch nylon. This fabric is designed to be soft on the skin, with good moisture management and exceptional comfort.

QUADFUSION+™: state-of-the-art crimped hollow fibres sandwiched between two multichannel fibre layers with excellent wicking properties, the QuadFusion + ™ acts as a thermal barrier to keep you dry, even during intensive activities. In addition to the exceptional heat-to-weight ratio, this insulation exceeds other high-performance insulation products by more than 45% and evaporates moisture by more than 50% compared to other high-performance fabrics.

Quad Fusion™: 50% recycled polyester, this is an insulating hollow fibre with a spiral construction that can trap air for keeping warm.

CERTIFICATION:

Bluesign® Standard: Environmental program to eliminate substances that are potentially hazardous to human health or the environment from the textile supply chain. A Bluesign® approved fabric ensures that:

  • The fabric itself is free of harmful chemicals
  • Unsafe emissions in water, ground and air are reduced
  • The use of energy resources is controlled and reduced to a minimum
  • The working conditions are healthy and safe

PFC Free: PFCs belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used in a number of outdoor products for waterproofing the outer material. Their use has received a lot of criticism, as they are considered non-biodegradable. They build up in the body and are suspected to be harmful to health.

PFC-free products are environmentally friendly.
