COMPOSITION:
Ghost Whisperer is a unique highly performing fabric. There is only one factory that can weave it. Very light, Mountain Hardwear developed this fabric with the collaboration of mountaineering athlete Ueli Steck. It is a collaboration with the speed alpinist to reinvent climbing apparel and equipment for the next generation of of ultra-fast alpinists - the Ghost Whisperer fabric's super-tight weave is naturally windproof and water repellent.
Ripstop: This synthetic fabric, often made from nylon or polyester, uses a special reinforcing technique that makes it tear and abrasion-resistant. During the weaving process, reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals into the hatched pattern. These intervals are generally 5 to 8 millimetres. Ripstop fabric is thin and lightweight with thicker threads interwoven into thinner cloth for a 3-dimensional structure.
