TECHNOLOGY:
RECCO®: Safety system based on radar technology, helping find victims after avalanches. The Recco® system built into the product allows waves to reflect back to the transmitter, helping the rescue team to find victims faster. The Recco® system is complementary to other security systems used for off-piste skiing/boarding. |
COMPOSITION:
PROOF™ ECO: PROOF™ ECO fabrics are durable, recycled and / or approved by Bluesign®, as well as totally windproof, waterproof and breathable. To further protect you from the forces of nature, the outer fabric has been treated with a lower impact DWR to evacuate water and repel dirt. Proof™ Eco fabrics provide balanced performance, a reduced impact on the environment and all-day user comfort. |
Ripstop: This synthetic fabric, often made from nylon or polyester, uses a special reinforcing technique that makes it tear and abrasion-resistant. During the weaving process, reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals into the hatched pattern. These intervals are generally 5 to 8 millimetres. Ripstop fabric is thin and lightweight with thicker threads interwoven into thinner cloth for a 3-dimensional structure. |
Aramid: Also called aromatic polyamide, these fibres mainly used for making composite materials. It is a heat-resistant material with good mechanical properties. |
CERTIFICATION:
Bluesign® Standard: Environmental program to eliminate substances that are potentially hazardous to human health or the environment from the textile supply chain. A Bluesign® approved fabric ensures that:
|
Fluorocarbon free DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness. The waterproof treatment is derived from a hydrocarbon base made from silicone and / or wax. In order to preserve the environment, all perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) are removed from the coating. |
