DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness.

3M™ Thinsulate™: These products retain as much heat as possible on a smaller surface area. This technology is light, warm and provides freedom of movement for the wearer. Thinsulate is a material made up of fine synthetic fibres that store a lot of air and help ensure warmth. The 3M company is renowned for its numerous innovations, already found in Neil Armstrong's gear.
