GORE-TEX®:The GORE-TEX® membrane is a very thin layer of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) laminated to an outer fabric and very often lined. It is durably waterproof (28,000 mm) and windproof (RET between 6 and 13), while being permeable to water vapour. The result: water from the outside doesn't penetrate the garment, cold wind doesn't blow through it and perspiration can escape. |
