MOVEMENT:

Solar Movement: Solar watches are quartz watches that have solar sensors on the dial and an energy accumulator instead of a battery. Capable of converting any light source into energy and without needing to change the battery, Seiko solar is a brilliant idea for conserving the environment. The electricity produces by the solar cell is stored in a rechargeable battery that provides the energy required to give your watch a long life.

FUNCTIONS:

A chronograph watch displays hours, minutes and seconds. The chronograph also has a hand that can be started, stopped and reset by pressing a button. This mechanism allows the user to measure the length of an event to a fifth or tenth of a second. Minute and hour counters help count the total number of times the chronograph hand has turned. The watch must have a chronograph label for the data supplied by the chronograph to be certified accurate.

A tachymeter is a speed measuring instrument. It can carry out this measurement in different units and especially in kilometre per hour. In the watchmaking world, it is effectively a watch with a graduated dial which calculates the average speed depending on the time necessary to travel a given distance. The calculation is generally based on a distance of 1000 meters. For example, the time necessary to travel a kilometre indicates to the users the number of kilometres possible in an hour. Some digital watches have a tachymeter function visible on the display.
