COMPOSITION:
LAMINATED BASKETBALL CONSTRUCTION: A type of basketball where panels of leather, composite leather or synthetics are fixed onto a rubber carcass by hand. Generally used for indoor and indoor/outdoor basketballs.
- 1 - Butyl bladder for improved air pressure retention.
- 2 - Nylon windings add structural integrity and durability to the ball.
- 3 - The carcass provides structure for the inner components. For rubber balls, a coat of paint is applied to enhance a better grip and look.
- 4 - The leather provides good grip, feel and aesthetic appeal to the ball as well as necessary strength and abrasion resistance.
