TECHNOLOGY:
2 WAY STRETCH: High elasticity clothing that adapts to the athlete's movements, and quickly regains its shape.
DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness.
POWERTEX CORDURA®: For alpine skiing, some descents take a lot of effort. The harder the climb, the greater the satisfaction. Waterproof, windproof and abrasion-resistant clothing is essential for tough, rocky and snow-covered climbs with technical ice climbing sections.
Powertex Cordura® is a solid fabric exclusive to Salewa®. The 3-layer lamination is a guarantee for weather protection, while the thin polyurethane (PU) membrane allows sweat wicking.
The outer large is made with 94% abrasion-resistant nylon (polyamide) Cordura® and 6% elastane for freedom of movement. Cordura® fibres also add robustness and a matt finish to the fabric.
Salewa® treats the surf with a durable PFC-free water-repellent coating.
Advantages:
- Abrasion-resistant
- Durably waterproof and wind resistant
- Highly breathable
- Full freedom of movement
- Lightweight and compressible
- Eco-friendly water-repellent finish
COMPOSITION:
Ripstop: This synthetic fabric, often made from nylon or polyester, uses a special reinforcing technique that makes it tear and abrasion-resistant. During the weaving process, reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals into the hatched pattern. These intervals are generally 5 to 8 millimetres. Ripstop fabric is thin and lightweight with thicker threads interwoven into thinner cloth for a 3-dimensional structure.
CERTIFICATION:
PFC Free: PFCs belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used in a number of outdoor products for waterproofing the outer material. Their use has received a lot of criticism, as they are considered non-biodegradable. They build up in the body and are suspected to be harmful to health. PFC-free products are environmentally friendly. |
