DWR (Durable Water Repellent):Durable Water Repellent (DWR) technology is a polymer coating added to outdoor clothing to provide water-resistant protection. The technology repels water, causing it to bead up on the surface of a garment. The droplets roll over the surface instead of soaking into the fabric. DWR not only repels liquids, but does so in a way that allows fabrics to breathe. Water droplets flow directly off the surface, but vapour can escape freely from the inside. This neutralises trapped moisture and prevents the uncomfortable and restrictive feeling of clothing sticking to the skin. DWR prevents the fabric from becoming weighed down by excess moisture, allowing the wearer to enjoy optimal comfort and freedom of movement.
