TECHNOLOGY:

Yak Seal™: The cuffs, hood and hem are the most vulnerable areas of a garment when trying to keep dry. YAK SEAL ™ technology reduces moisture penetration significantly in these areas. The YAK SEAL ™ technology includes several features:

• Use of different materials that slow down the wicking or capillary effect
• A ripstop weave using CORDURA® fibres that creates a durable surface that prevents the capillary effect associated with other types of barrier wicking
• A small cross-section of wicking barriers so there is very little space for moisture to accumulate
• A water-repellent adhesive layer
• A durable cover film that seals the edge of the structure

The net effect is a significant increase in garment performance in three different areas.

Yak Hooks™: provides increased durability, ease of use and visually appealing cuffs. The unique hook design minimises abrasion and pilling while the pre-curved finish ensures that the cuff tongue always lies in the closed position.

Yak Flow™: Field and laboratory tests show that fabrics with an air permeability of less than 6 L/m²/s offer the same protection against heat loss as a 0 L/m²/s fabric. YAK FLOW ™ garments have been designed with an optimal level of permeability to keep wind chill and therefore heat loss to a minimum, while maximising moisture mass transfer through the fabric.

COMPOSITION:

Gore-Tex® Infinium™: The Gore-Tex Infinium™ non-waterproof range is based on the quality and performance of the original Gore-Tex range. It is not a single technology, but a collection of technologies, new and tested, that provide versatility for comfort and protection. The Gore-Tex Infinium™ range includes premium products suitable for all your favourite activities. It is designed for times when comfort and performance are a priority over water resistance.

GORE-TEX®: The Gore-Tex® membrane is a very thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) with a laminated outer fabric and is often lined. It is waterproof (28,000 mm) and windproof (RET between 6 and 13), as well as permeable to water vapour. The result is that water from the outside does not penetrate the garment, the cold wind does not get through and perspiration is easily released.

Cordura®: High-tech textile fibre known for its durability, strength, lightness and easy care. Cordura® is extremely abrasion-resistant (4 times more than standard nylon and 20 times more than cotton). The light, rough surface is typical for this fabric.

FIT:

Performance: Worn over other layers of clothing. Slightly larger fit. This allows for perfectly combining different layers couches as well as increased breathability and heat retention - which increases overall comfort.

PALI: Range designed for both cold/humid and cold/dry conditions. Designed for the most extreme mountain conditions.
