3M™ Thinsulate™: These products retain as much heat as possible on a smaller surface area. This technology is light, warm and provides freedom of movement for the wearer, even in cold weather. Thinsulate uses fabric made from thin synthetic fibres, which store a lot of air and produce warmth. The 3M company is renowned for its numerous innovations, including those used in Neil Armstrong's gear. The special Thinsulate Insulation fibres ensure a high level of comfort as well as efficient breathability and anti-moisture action, even when practising sports that generate a lot of sweat. |
O'Neill HyperDry: Treatment that features DWR (Durable Water Repellency) Waterproof Nano-Technology. Helps the fabric dry quickly and wick away water to the exterior of the fabric, while remaining breathable and naturally soft.
DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness.
Firewall: Use on products with insulation (for example 3M™ Thinsulate™, Primaloft® or down), O'Neill Firewall reduces the weight, retains heat and increases comfort in extreme cold.
Firewall Magma: The modern pattern on the back of this jacket is O'Neill Firewall Magma. It is a thermal pattern that absorbs energy and retains up to 25% body heat than a standard lining.
It is printed on the back of the jacket, as this is the most appropriate for keeping the body warm. It is also breathable and moisture wicking. This latest technology is the highest level of thermal efficiency for outer wear.
